Tesco cuts iPhone 14 and AirPod Pro 2 prices but these Apple deals will save you £500

We've found a much cheaper way to get your hands on the iPhone 14 and pair of Apple AirPods Pro 2 that'll save you hundreds of pounds if you shop around

This time of year is rife for new phone shopping as UK providers drop their prices for Christmas, in the hopes tech buyers find a deal on the latest Apple or Samsung phone to add under the tree. This is where we came across the latest iPhone 14 and AirPod Pro 2 deal from Tesco Mobile however, it may seem too good to be true.

The supermarket mobile provider is offering what seems to be a mega deal on its iPhone 14 and AirPod Pro 2 bundle, where it has cut £288 off the price. It's a huge saving at first glance, as you'll save £8 a month if you have a Clubcard as the adjacent 25GB of data drops from £46.99 a month to £38.99.

Shoppers may be influenced by the price drop but when adding up the total amount you'd spend across Tesco Mobile's 36-month plan - that's £1,403 with the discount added - it's still not the cheapest around. You could get the same three products for £515 cheaper if you follow our hand-picked deals.

Save £515 if you buy products individually with these deals instead of Tesco's contract:

Let's get into it. Starting with the 128GB Apple iPhone 14 which you'd get a much better price for if you buy outright from Very. We've spotted the iPhone 14 for £649, that's even £50 cheaper than Apple's own price too. Moving onto the pair of AirPod Pro 2's which Apple sell as its newest wireless accessory for a hefty £229 but our next spotted deal is slightly cheaper.

If you want to save a little on the AirPod Pro 2 you can head to Amazon where the Prime retail is stocking the buds for £219, £10 cheaper than Apple's price. It's only a small saving but considering the overall price difference when batted against Tesco's bundle deal it's certainly one to look at.

Now onto the third and final part of the deal, the 25GB of monthly data, which is actually the only element of Tesco Mobile's deal that you save money on thanks to its £8 Clubcard price drop. Although, this deal from Smarty caught our eye as being much better value for money.

You can get nearly double the amount of monthly data, 40GB, from Smarty for just £10 a month. To add there's unlimited calls and texts and unlike Tesco Mobile's 36-month tie you are free to cancel anytime on its one month plan.

Tallying up the prices shoppers would pay for the three products of Tesco Mobile's deal individually; 128GB iPhone 14, AirPod Pro 2 and 25GB of data (we've found a cheaper 40GB of data) works out more than £500 cheaper. That's adding up the £649 price of the iPhone 14 at Very, Amazon's £219 price on the AirPod Pro 2 and Smarty's £10 a month 40GB data which comes to £888 - a huge difference to the full £1,403 cost of Tesco's plan.

Even if you add up the cost of the cheaper Smarty data (£10 a month) for a full 36-months to make it the same as Tesco's contract length, all three products still work out to be £175 cheaper overall. Proof it's worth shopping around and comparing tech deals this Christmas.
