Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, has been committed to seamlessly integrating the features of its social media platforms-Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The company has been achieving this goal by offering similar features across all platforms, such as the ability to share content simultaneously on multiple platforms, akin to sharing status updates on Facebook and Instagram. This feature is reportedly now being extended to WhatsApp users as well.

According to a recent report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is set to unveil a new feature that will allow users to seamlessly share their status updates as Stories on Instagram. This feature, currently in beta testing for Android devices, was spotted in the Android 2.23.25.20 version. The report suggests that the feature will be an optional choice, allowing users to retain control over whether or not to share their status updates on Instagram, ensuring that this feature remains optional.

The report further highlights that the new feature will save time for users who typically share the same content across platforms. However, Instagram users may notice a difference in the quality of their Stories when added directly from WhatsApp, particularly due to the considerable distinction in photo and video editing capabilities between the two platforms.

In the meantime, WhatsApp is introducing additional features to improve the user experience on the platform. The application, owned by Meta, has recently introduced a new AI chats feature that enables users to engage with an AI chatbot. According to reports, a button has been added above the icon for starting new chats in the Chats tab. This button expedites the initiation of AI-powered chats, providing users with increased speed and convenience.

The AI chatbot, powered by Meta AI, was initially introduced by Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, in September. During this announcement, he revealed that the company is currently conducting tests on AI-powered chatbots, specifically targeting a particular segment within the USA.

In later September, Meta released AI Chat in the beta version of WhatsApp. However, it was initially somewhat hidden within the contact list, causing difficulty for users to find and interact with it. To streamline the process and improve the user experience, the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.23.24.26 now includes a dedicated button on the home screen for easy access to the chatbot.

Additionally, in an effort to improve user privacy and connectivity, WhatsApp is expected to introduce a new search bar feature. This feature will enable users to locate others through their usernames, as revealed in a screenshot shared by WABetaInfo. The update is designed to simplify the process of connecting with friends and contacts, eliminating the need to share personal phone numbers.

Report suggests that the upcoming feature wallow users to createh a username, offering an alternative for those who prefer maintaining privacy and not sharing their phone numbers. This advancement is expected to be particularly advantageous for individuals who prioritize privacy and seek enhanced control over their personal information. Notably, username creation will be entirely voluntary, granting users the flexibility to decide whether they wish to utilize this new functionality.
