British designer Stella McCartney is stepping into the future without looking back, ending 2023 by joining Hajime Sorayama for a robotic collaboration. The Japanese illustrator is known for his erotic drawings of feminine mechanics, merging technology and design across an exclusive collection.

The unisex range stimulates the next generation of creatives through artistic realms, seeing Iris Law front the otherworldly campaign. Sorayama’s Sexy Robots sensually decorate every garment with printed long-sleeve tees opening the collection. Embroidered varsity jackets continue with ultra-modern portraits and collaborative branding, while skintight hot pants make for the perfect novel uniform. “I discovered Sorayama’s art about 25 years ago, and I made a point of asking if I could meet him on a trip to Japan, and I went to his studio and I just remember it being a treasure chest of crazy animation and robots everywhere. His personality is incredibly cheeky and refreshing and so charming and I’ve spent time with him ever since. I would definitely consider him a friend,” says Stella McCartney on the collaboration.

Law is bedazzled in glistening bodysuits and McCartney’s chain-trimmed handbags, completing the collection with cascading tops, platformed footwear, and “Platinum Dream” outerwear. The latter boasts silver strawberry decor, bonding the items in eco-friendly textiles and oversized tailoring.
