Northumbria Police are appealing for witnesses over a robbery in Newcastle city centre.

Police received a report that a woman was approached by two men in the city's Grainger Street at around 7.25pm on November 29. One of those men is then reported to have stolen the women's phone. Shortly afterwards, the woman is said to have chased the man, into Nun Street.

However it is reported she was then pushed over and suffered a "non-serious" injury to her foot. The two men are then understood to have fled the scene.

Now officers want the members of the public to come forward if they witnessed the incident. Anyone who did so is asked to use the report option on the Northumbria Police website or call 101, quoting crime reference 148856H/23.
