National Dragster All-Star Team Best New Pro Talent: Gaige Herrera

Gaige Herrera, who set an NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle class record with 11 wins en route to the 2023 championship, was voted the Best New Pro Talent to the NHRA Professional ranks spanning 2020-23.

Gaige Herrera, who set an NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle class record with 11 wins en route to the 2023 championship, was voted Best New Pro Talent to the NHRA Professional ranks spanning 2020-23.

In his first full season, Herrera, who was not eligible for 2023 NHRA Rookie of the Year consideration after competing in six events in 2022, recorded nine of the class' 10 quickest elapsed times, including a 6.627-second national record run in Dallas, and compiled a 50-4 record in elimination runs during the season, best among all NHRA pros.

Herrera finished just ahead of rising Funny Car star Chad Green, 2022 NHRA Rookie of the Year Camrie Caruso, and 2021’s top rookie, Dallas Glenn, in a talent-laden field of nearly 40 drivers who received votes.
