BBC The One Show viewers 'confused' with a 'double dose'

A whole host of names has passed through the BBC studios, but this was an odd one

BBC One's The One Show is where we go at the end of a busy day to relax, perhaps learn a little, and unwind. But viewers reported being left 'confused' tonight (Wednesday) after the duo presenting the programme was revealed.

Hosts of the programme have numbered many over the years, from Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley to Matt Baker and Myleene Klass. The main names usually spotted on weeknights right now are Jermaine Jenas and Roman Kemp - alongside Alex Jones, a stalwart from way back on the green sofa.

But put Wales' Alex Jones on the settee beside former England international footballer Alex Scott and you've got trouble.

The programme's official account warned everyone, posting on X - formerly known as Twitter - "Settle in with your Wednesday night #TheOneShow! We've got a double dose of Alex for you! @MissAlexjones and @AlexScott are live on the green sofa now."

Karl @cj_787 popped online to post: "Two presenters called Alex hosting the #TheOneShow tonight.. that's not confusing at all!"

Alex Jones is the longest-running Alex on the programme, having been presenting since 2010, replacing Christine Bleakley. Former Arsenal footballer Alex Scott is a frequent guest presenter on The One Show in 2019.
