Snowfall warning for Calgary ends, 'significant winter storm' coming to southwestern Alberta

Between 10 and 20 centimetres of snow is expected in Calgary, with much more likely to fall in the foothills

One day after summer-like temperatures graced southern Alberta, the weather is forecast to turn ugly as a “significant” storm is expected to bring heavy snow to Calgary and surrounding areas by Friday.

Environment Canada still has a snowfall warning in effect for Kananaskis and Canmore but the snowfall warning has ended for Calgary and the surrounding area.
