The UK’s most popular beauty product has been revealed — and we tested it
by Gregory Robinson · MetroWith an ever-growing list of beauty products on the market, only ones reigns supreme as the UK’s most popular.
New research has discovered that the most popular beautifying cosmetic product is Charlotte Tilbury’s beloved Flawless Filter, while the brand itself has been named the UK’s most popular beauty brand.
Spa booking website spaseekers.com analysed Google data to find the beauty products and brands in over 100 countries around the world to find the ones that are the most in-demand.
The beloved highlighter gives Charlotte’s darlings a chance to experience the illuminating, glowing effect of Hollywood lights from wherever they are in the world.
The glossy oil claims to give a smoothing, flawless and poreless finish to makeup and not only can be used as a traditional liquid highlighter on the high points of the face, like the cheekbones, down the nose or cupids blow, some makeup lovers even opt to use it on bare skin for a no-makeup makeup look, a primer for a non-glittery but radiant glow, or mixed in with foundation. It’s available in 12 shades.
Since Charlotte Tilbury is among one of the luxury makeup brands, its immensely popular Flawless Filter comes with a pretty hefty price tag of £39.

So, if your purse is crying out for some relief, especially during the cost of living crisis, fear not. Metro.co.uk previously tested the product up against some cheaper options as part of our Bargain vs Bougie series where it went head-to-head with skin tints.
We found that the Hollywood Flawless Filter was great with oily skin, visible pores and for not slipping off the skin during the day. It also helped with pinkness in areas of the face and left a natural finish, however more pigment is desired. Still, it finished with an impressive 4/5 score.
Miss Charlotte went up against the Collection Gorgeous Glow Filter Finish, which is priced at £7.99, and is touted for having very reflective glow, MAC’s £30 Strobe Dewy Skin Tint, which is buildable, glowy and pigmented, and the well-known Elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter.
The ultimate choice for a glowy skin tint came from perhaps the most unexpected source – Primark! Yes, the PS… My Perfect Colour Radiant Primer Foundation, which is only £6, has an impressive duration time all things considered.
