2 killed, 13 injured in drone attacks on wedding ceremony in Shwebo Township

Two people were killed and 13 others wounded when a wedding ceremony was attacked by drop bombs using drones in Payan Village, Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region, on December 4.

The wedding reception was held at the home of U Lin Maung in Payan Village, and the bomb explosion killed two women. 

According to the press release issued by the information team of the State Administration Council, PDFs carried out drop bomb attacks using drones  about 3,000 meters south of Payan Village at about 3:30 pm on December 4 while a wedding ceremony was taking place at U Lin Maung’s home. In the bomb explosion, two female wedding guests died and 13 others including two seven-year-old children were wounded.

Those injured were sent to Shwebo People’s Hospital for medical treatment, and security forces are conducting necessary security operations for regional safety, the SAC information team reported.
