House of the Dragon Season 2 is set to hit our screens next summer, and in preparation for that, the thriller has already shattered HBO MAX’s viewing records.

Within a mere 48 hours of its release, the House of the Dragon Season 2 trailer clocked a staggering 63 million views, making it the most-watched trailer since HBO Max’s launch in 2020. Surpassing the excitement generated by Season 1, it’s evident that the audience can’t get enough of the Targaryen saga.

Olivia Cooke is set to dazzle as Alicent Hightower in the upcoming House of the Dragon Season 2, and the excitement is off the charts! HBO recently released the much-anticipated trailer, giving fans a sneak peek into the twists and turns awaiting our favourite characters.

The gripping trailer revisits the aftermath of House of the Dragon Season 1’s explosive finale, where the tragic death of Rhaenyra’s son Lucerys ignited a fierce civil war among Targaryen branches. The suspenseful preview not only had me hooked but also set a new record for HBO Max.

The House of the Dragon series has successfully carved its niche, building on the immense popularity of Game of Thrones. With a strong start, a gripping cliffhanger in the first season, and a loyal fan base, the show is making its mark while staying true to its roots in the Game of Thrones universe.

As we eagerly await the summer premiere of House of the Dragon Season 2 on HBO and Max, the challenge lies in maintaining the momentum.
