Celebrity Big Brother's return date confirmed as fans issue special demand
Celebrity Big Brother has seemingly been confirmed to return from March 2024 - but fans have issued a demand ahead of the new series
by Jasmine Allday · The MirrorCelebrity Big Brother has been given a return date - after the success of the ITV reboot.
Hosts of the main show AJ Odudu and Will Best confirmed during the recent series that the celebrity version would be back sometime in 2024, but it looks like it will be sooner than we think as Celebrity Big Brother is set to return in just a few months time.
Big Brother was rebooted this year by ITV with some brand new names heading into the house. The show was won by Jordan Sangha, who has since confirmed he is dating fellow housemate Henry. After scooping the mega prize winnings, Jordan had decided to quit his job and has said he is "done" with law and is moving on from his usual career.
"I don’t want to go back to a day job. I’ve worked in supermarkets, I loved working in Sainsbury’s, that was a good day job - but law, no. I’m done, signed out," he said, before adding of a potential TV career: "Definitely, you’ve got to keep the money coming in."
Voting figures for the most recent series revealed that Jordan won in a landslide victory. Going up against Henry, Olivia, Yinrun and Noky, he won the vote with a huge 37.8 per cent of the public votes. Olivia trailed behind with 20.2 per cent of the audience vote and Henry received 19.6 per cent of the votes. They were followed by Yinrun with 17.1 per cent, and Noky with just 5.3 per cent.
Fans have been speculating on who could be heading into the famous house on Celebrity Big Brother next year when it returns in March 2024. Former contestant Katie Price is keen to give another go at reality TV. Reposting ITV's recent promotional clip confirming there will be another series of the show next year, Katie shared the video which read "Celebrities... Big Brother is coming to get you."
Bosses are also said to be keen to get Rebekah Vardy in the house after the infamous Wagatha Christie trial. "Rebekah is the show's No1 target, there's no getting away from it. Bosses know she'll be perfect fodder for the show and that she won't hold back on saying what she thinks. They also hope she won't be slow coming forward on saying how she feels about Coleen and her husband Wayne. She will be TV gold!" a source shared previously about Rebekah joining the show.
Meanwhile, a Big Brother spokesperson told the Mirror: "Any names suggested for Celebrity Big Brother are speculation." However, fans have made a strict demand this year - and have asked for no politicians to head into the house after a controversial two series on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, which has seen Matt Hancock and Nigel Farage head to the jungle.
