Ahead of the IPL 2024 auction, Royal Challengers Bangalore has released Kedar Jadhav from their squad. Kedar Jadhav has set a base price of Rs. 2 crore in the IPL 2024 auction. Last season, Jadhav was picked by RCB towards the end of the season. He played just 2 games in which he scored an unbeaten 12 runs in the lone match he batted.

Once a key player for Chennai Super Kings, Kedar Jadhav has lost his prowess in the Indian Premier League due to his age. The 38-year-old is among the most veteran players in the auction.

Lucknow Super Giants has released middle-order batters like Karun Nair and Manan Vohra. They grabbed Devdutt Padikkal from Rajasthan Royals through a trade ahead of the auction. LSG needs more backup batters in their middle order.

Hence, they can pick Kedar Jadhav. Moreover, Jadhav can also bowl spin and LSG can utilize him at their home stadium. Ekana Cricket Stadium is quite a spin-friendly ground. LSG has Rs. 13.15 crore left in their funds.

2. Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad is another team that can go after Kedar Jadhav in IPL 2024 auction. SRH has Rs. 34 crore left in their kitty and can pick 6 more players in the auction, out of which, 3 can be domestic.

Last season, middle-order batters like Aiden Markram, Rahul Tripathi, Harry Brook, and Abhishek Sharma failed to come up with a good show. Hence, SRH can keep Kedar Jadhav as a backup batter in the middle.

Delhi Capitals is another team on this list. DC has released many batters from their squad. Aman Khan, Manish Pandey, Phil Salt, Rilee Rossouw, Rovman Powell, and Sarfaraz Khan are all batters whom DC has released.

Hence, the 2020 runners-up need plenty of batters in their squad. They will target many batters during the auction and can go after Kedar Jadhav as one of the new members. Delhi can grab 9 more players during the IPL 2024 auction with a fund of Rs. 28.95 crores.
