This is getting depressing. A new wave of pre-holidays layoffs has hit the games industry, with staff at Codemasters, Tinybuild, and Embracer Groups’s Saber Interactive’s New World Interactive reportedly losing their jobs. The Verge reports that Saber Interactive has laid off employees within New World Interactive, though the child studio will continue to work on Insurgency Sandstorm. “There have been restructuring changes involving the New World Interactive subsidiary,” Saber’s Arman Teimouri told the outlet. “Unfortunately, this reorganization has resulted in layoffs at the studio.” The layoffs follow huge cuts at Saber Interactive’s parent company, Embracer Group.
