The franchise released wicketkeeper Sarfaraz Khan from the squad. However, DC will need a backup wicketkeeper. Since Rishabh Pant will return from injury after a long gap, it will be good to move to have a backup wicketkeeper to manage his workload. DC can grab 4 more overseas players into their squad with an available salary purse of Rs. 28.95 crore.

Gujarat Titans is another team that can go after Tom Banton in the IPL 2024 auction. The IPL 2022 winners have dropped wicketkeeper KS Bharat from their squad. Now, they need a wicketkeeper batter to replace him. Matthew Wade and Wriddhiman Saha are two wicketkeepers in their team.

However, it will be good to keep a backup wicketkeeper. While Wade has struggled with his form in the last few IPL seasons, Saha has already reached 39 years of age. Royal Challengers Bangalore has Dinesh Karthik in their squad for the role of wicketkeeper. However, Karthik gave a very poor show last season. He hit just 140 runs in 13 games averaging 11.67.
